"Keith Harden @ The Iron Post"

Keith Harden is back in town for for Xmas, or as he calls it Keithmas. He'll be doing several gigs, including his traditional Keithmas performance (with special guests) at the Post on Monday, Dec. 23 at 9 p.m. Since moving to upstate New York in 2001, Harden has been performing weekly acoustic sets at the Beale Street Cafe in Rochester, N.Y. In addition, he's played some festivals and opened for the likes of ex-Jefferson Airplaner Jorma Kaukonen and blues singer Shemekia Copeland. Harden informs us that he'll be doing some new originals from his forthcoming album Illinois Blues, which he'll have for sale at his gigs. Harden also plans to release another album in 2003. Now that he's settled down in his new home, Harden has taken up another hobby. "We live by a lake, so I bought a kayak at the end of the summer and my New Year's resolution is to go kayaking as often as possible and do some more hiking and climbing in the Adirondacks." If you're busy on Monday you can also catch Harden at the Iron Post on Friday, Dec. 20 (5-7 p.m.) and at Pages For All Ages (2-4 p.m.) and Huber's (8-11 p.m.) on Saturday, Dec. 21. Harden makes an appearance on WEFT 90.1 FM on Friday, Dec. 20 around 1:30 p.m.
