"Lightning in a Bottle"
A One Night History of the Blues
On Feb. 7, 2003 scores of musical performers took the stage
at New York City's Radio City Music Hall for a Salute to the Blues.
This celebration of the Blues has been made into the feature film "Lightning In A Bottle".
Executive Producer Martin Scorsese and Director Antoine Fuqua
present a history of the Blues through performances and archival clips.
Some of the many performers: B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Mavis Staples, Keb' Mo,
Ruth Brown, Macy Gray, Natalie Cole, Shemekia Copeland, Solomon Burke
"Honeyboy" Edwards, Bonnie Raitt, Kim Wilson, "Gatemouth" Brown, and many others.
Opens in select cities Oct. 22, and Nov. 5, and coming soon to a theater near you!

which ran from Sept. 28 through Oct. 4, 2003.
Executive Producer Martin Scorsese presented seven directors who explored the blues
through their own perspectives, highlighting how the blues evolved from
folk tunes to a worldwide language. Some of the directors included
Scorsese, Wim Wenders, Charles Burnett, and Clint Eastwood.
